Takeoff Attempt
The pilot initiated a takeoff from midfield on a 4,000-foot soft grass strip. The aircraft was configured with no flaps. During the takeoff roll, the aircraft did not attain lift-off speed.
Abort Decision
The pilot recognized that sufficient speed had not been achieved but did not abort the takeoff.
Avoidance Maneuver
At the last moment, the pilot attempted to get airborne to avoid a residence located at the end of the runway.
Collision
The aircraft subsequently struck a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence. The force of the impact caused the aircraft to cartwheel into the attached garage.
