Accident Details
The accident occurred while the pilot was landing a personal cross-country flight on a remote airstrip. The pilot occupied the right seat, with two passengers also aboard. Wind conditions were calm during the landing.
Pilot Report
After the airplane touched down, the pilot reported that she inadvertently activated the right brake. She stated that wearing large boots caused her to depress the pedal unintentionally. This brake application caused the airplane to turn sharply to the right.
Aircraft Damage
The airplane subsequently struck a snow berm located on the right side of the airstrip. The impact inflicted damage to the left landing gear, left wing, and left stabilizer. The left gear was damaged, the left wing structure was compromised, and the left stabilizer suffered damage as well.
