Incident Overview
A student pilot was conducting a crosswind landing in known gusty wind conditions. During the roundout, the airplane yawed to the left. In response, the pilot applied full power to initiate a go-around.
Sequence of Events
The nose of the airplane pitched up approximately 10 to 20 degrees, with airspeed around 40 knots. The stall warning horn activated. Subsequently, the nose pitched down and to the left. The pilot applied aft pressure on the control yoke.
Final Outcome
The airplane collided with the ground on its main landing gear, bounced, and then nosed over, coming to rest inverted.
