Event Details
The student pilot had just completed several touch and go landings with a flight instructor. He then proceeded to conduct two solo touch and go landings and one full stop landing. On the first takeoff of his solo flight, as he applied power and the airplane began accelerating, it started to veer to the left. The pilot applied right rudder input in an attempt to correct the deviation, but the airplane continued moving left, departing the runway surface. The airplane subsequently contacted a snowbank adjacent to the runway.
Pilot Report
The student pilot reported that the airplane began veering left immediately after power application for takeoff. Despite his application of right rudder, the airplane did not respond sufficiently and continued off the runway. The accident occurred during the student's second solo flight. No further information about the airplane, weather, or other conditions was provided in the report.
