Event Description
During the initial takeoff climb, at an altitude of 400 feet, the pilot observed a decrease in engine power to 1,500 rpm. Several seconds later, the engine lost all power. The pilot subsequently executed a forced landing to a field. The airplane sustained substantial damage during the landing.
