Incident Details
The pilot reported an uneventful approach for a full stop landing. On final, approximately 10 feet above the ground, with engine power reduced and the airplane in landing configuration, a gust of wind from the left pushed the airplane to the right. The right main tire touched down hard, followed by the left main tire. As the airplane bounced down the runway, the pilot initiated a go-around by adding full engine power and pitching the nose up. During this maneuver, the left wing struck the ground, causing the airplane to flip over and come to rest upside-down.
Pilot Statement
The pilot stated there were no mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane or any of its systems prior to the accident.
