Event Description
The accident occurred during a touch-and-go maneuver. The main landing gear touched down first, followed by the nose gear. After the nose gear contacted the runway, the student pilot noticed a vibration but continued the touch-and-go. Upon raising the flaps, the vibration intensified, and the airplane veered off the left side of the runway, colliding with a dirt bank.
Pilot and Witness Accounts
The student pilot was on his first supervised solo flight and was the only occupant. The entire flight had been uneventful until touchdown. The student's instructor, who witnessed the entire flight, reported that everything appeared normal until the airplane suddenly veered left and struck a berm. The instructor also stated that the dual instructional flight preceding the solo was completely normal, with no mechanical abnormalities noted.

The nose landing gear was sheared off during the collision with the dirt bank.
