Accident Details
On October 13, 2007, at approximately 1500 Pacific Daylight Time, a float-equipped Cessna 172, Canadian registration C-GGVK, crashed while maneuvering in mountainous terrain. The accident occurred about 15 nautical miles east of Bamfield, British Columbia, Canada.
Aircraft and Operator
The aircraft was operated by Parallel Seaplanes Inc., based in Lake Cowichan, British Columbia. The flight was conducted as an instructional/proficiency flight for a floatplane rated pilot. The flight was operating under the provisions of the Civil Aviation Regulations of Canada.
Occupants and Injuries
The pilot, the flight instructor, and a passenger received fatal injuries.
