What happened
On January 16, 2008, at approximately 1850 UTC, a Bell 212 helicopter, registered as OB-1850, crashed in a jungle region near Kiteni, Peru. The aircraft had departed from Kiteni with the intention of returning to the same location.
Upon impact with the terrain, the helicopter sustained substantial damage. At the time of the report, the status of the two flightcrew members and seven passengers was unknown, with no injuries reported in the available documentation.
