What happened
On February 11, 2008, at approximately 0712 local time, a Beech 1900D, registration VH-VAZ, was performing a flight from Jabiru, Northern Territory, Australia, to Darwin, Australia. During the initial departure phase, the aircraft experienced a loss of power in one of its engines.
The flight crew responded by returning the aircraft to the departure airport at Jabiru. There were no injuries to the two crewmembers or the passengers on board, and the aircraft sustained no damage during the event.
