What happened
On August 28, 2009, at 12:00 EDT, a Eurocopter AS350 B2 was performing cruise flight near Némisko, Québec, Canada. During the flight, the aircraft, registered as C-FHAP, experienced a loss of engine power. The pilot performed a forced landing onto a lake shoreline, which resulted in substantial damage to the helicopter. There were no injuries reported for the pilot or the two passengers on board. The weather at the time of the accident was characterized by visual meteorological conditions (VMC).
