On January 25, 2019, a midair collision occurred in Megeve, Italy, involving a Eurocopter AS350-B3 helicopter and a Jodel D.140E airplane. The accident resulted in 7 fatal injuries and 2 serious injuries.
Under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the government of Italy is conducting the investigation. The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the Italian authorities. The helicopter involved in the collision was registered as I-EDIC and operated by Aero Club Megeve.
