A pilot reported that while attempting a takeoff from Lake Alexandria under choppy water and gusting wind conditions, the airplane's left wing made contact with the water after becoming airborne. The subsequent impact occurred in a nose-down attitude, causing substantial damage to the left wing and the separation of both floats.
