What happened
On May 24, 2011, at approximately 1300 UTC, a Beechcraft C90, registration N346UZ, collided with the ground while performing an approach to Kaduna Airport (KAD) in Kaduna, Nigeria. The flight had originated from the same airport. The impact resulted in 2 fatal injuries for the pilot and the passenger. The aircraft sustained substantial damage.
The investigation
The Nigeria Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) initiated the investigation into the accident. Because the aircraft was manufactured in the United States, a U.S. Accredited Representative was appointed to assist the AIB.
