The Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) has notified the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving an MD-80 aircraft that occurred on January 24, 2012.

Delegation of Investigation

The ACAA delegated the investigation to the Spanish Comisión de Investigación de Accidentes e Incidentes de Aviación Civil (CIAIAC).
