What happened
On May 27, 2012, a Vietnam Airlines Airbus A-321-231, operating under registration VN-A356, was performing a takeoff roll at Cam Ranh Airport (CXR) in Vietnam. When the aircraft reached approximately 130 knots, the crew received an Engine Crew Alerting Message (ECAM) indicating a fire and a stall in the No. 2 engine.
In response to the warning, the crew aborted the takeoff. During the emergency procedures, one fire suppression bottle was discharged, and the affected engine was shut down. There were no injuries reported among the passengers or the crew.
