Accident Details
A tail wheel equipped agricultural aerial application airplane was landing on a dirt strip to take on a load of application chemical. After the main gear touched down and the tail wheel was lowered to the surface, the airplane began to veer toward the side of the runway. The pilot was unable to keep the airplane from departing the runway surface. As the airplane headed toward a large gully, the pilot applied maximum braking force. The application of braking force caused the airplane to nose over onto its back.
The accident resulted in substantial damage to the upper wing and the vertical stabilizer. No other damage was reported.

According to the pilot, there was no malfunction or anomaly associated with the airplane's directional control systems or its braking system. The pilot did not report any preexisting issues with the aircraft's controls or brakes.
