Accident Overview
A tailwheel-equipped airplane sustained substantial damage after nosing over during a landing at a 900-foot long, remote off-airport site. The pilot reported no preaccident mechanical anomalies with the airplane.
Pilot's Account
According to the pilot, during the landing roll, the airplane veered slightly to the right before going down a small embankment. The pilot stated that he inadvertently applied heavy braking, causing both wheels to lock. The airplane subsequently nosed over.

The accident resulted in substantial damage to the wings and wing lift struts. The pilot noted that the airplane had no mechanical issues prior to the accident.
