Accident Details
On November 16, 2012, at approximately 0813 local time (1113 UTC), a Beech BE-55 aircraft, Paraguayan registration ZP-BLV, was destroyed when it struck terrain about 500 meters short of the runway at a ranch in Departamento Presidente Hayes. The accident site is located roughly 50 kilometers northwest of Concepción and 235 kilometers north of Asunción, Paraguay. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident.
The flight originated from Silvio Pettirossi International Airport (SGAS) in Asunción and was operating under Paraguayan flight regulations. The Paraguayan pilot and two passengers sustained fatal injuries.
