What happened
On March 4, 2013, at 0740 UTC, a Hawker Beechcraft 390 (Premier IA) business jet, operating under Cayman Islands registration VP-CAZ, collided with terrain near Cranves-Sales, France. The aircraft was operated by Global Jet Luxembourg and was performing a flight from Aérodrome d'Annemasse (LFLI) with an intended destination of Genève Aéroport (LSGG) in Geneva, Switzerland.
The accident occurred shortly after the aircraft departed the airfield. At the time of the event, weather conditions were characterized by daytime visual meteorological conditions with a visibility of 3 statute miles. The accident resulted in 2 fatal injuries to the pilot and copilot, while the sole passenger sustained 1 serious injury.
