Notification and Investigation
The Sao Tome and Principe Civil Aviation Authority (STPCAA) has notified the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving a Beech 1900 aircraft that occurred on April 7, 2013. In accordance with the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, which governs accident investigation, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the STPCAA in the investigation. The role of the Accredited Representative is to provide assistance as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane and engine. As of the notification, all investigative information will be released by the STPCAA. Further details regarding the circumstances of the accident have not been provided in the initial notification.
