What happened

On August 3, 2013, at 15:24 UTC, a Beech 58, registration PT-LKG, was involved in a fatal accident near Jundiai, Brazil. The flight departed from Jundiai Airport (SBJD) with the intention of traveling to Bataipora, Brazil (SSBT).

During the flight, tower personnel notified the pilot of smoke emanating from the aircraft's left engine. In response to this report, the pilot decided to return to SBJD. During the approach to the airport, the aircraft collided with terrain and was destroyed. The accident resulted in 4 fatalities, consisting of one crewmember and three passengers.
