Accident Narrative
According to the pilot, during approach the airplane was lower and slower than anticipated while on short final. The pilot responded by adding engine power, but the stall horn activated and the airplane struck the ground before reaching the paved portion of the runway. After initial impact, the airplane bounced and continued down the right side of the runway before colliding with an embankment. The airplane came to rest in an upright position.
