Incident Details
According to the pilot, the airplane was landing on a wet sod strip under gusty wind conditions. During the landing roll, the airplane encountered severe wind from the west. The wind blew the airplane off the runway to the right, moving it sideways. The right wing then impacted a fence-post. As the airplane rolled to a stop, the landing gear and propeller became entangled in the fence wire.

The pilot reported being aware of thunderstorms approximately 4 miles to the west and north of the airport. Drizzle was falling during the landing roll. The nearest reporting station identified thunderstorms in the vicinity of the accident location at the time of the accident.

The pilot stated that there were no mechanical failures or anomalies prior to or during the flight that would have prevented normal operation.
Damage
The airplane sustained substantial damage to both wings and the fuselage.
