Notification
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its Aviation Investigation Bureau (AIB), has notified the United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving a Boeing 767-300 aircraft that occurred on January 5, 2014. The notification was made in accordance with international protocols.
Investigation Involvement
In response, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the AIB in the investigation. This appointment is made under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, which designates the NTSB as the State of Manufacturer and Design for the Boeing 767-300. The Accredited Representative will participate in the investigation led by the AIB.
