During a calm wind landing, the pilot reported descending low and slow, then a stall developed. The airplane collided with terrain short of the runway, damaging the firewall and wings.

Accident Details

The pilot reported that wind conditions were calm during the descent to landing. While at an altitude of approximately 150 to 200 feet above the ground, the airplane began to exhibit a stall condition. The pilot stated that he was too late to respond to the stall, resulting in a collision with terrain. The airplane came to rest short of the runway threshold.
