What happened
On April 9, 2014, at 0025 UTC, a Quest Aircraft Company Kodiak-100, registration PK-SDF, was performing a takeoff from Doyo Baru Airstrip in Jayapura, Papua, Indonesia. During the takeoff roll, the aircraft lost altitude and struck the airport fence. Following the impact, the plane came to rest on a nearby roadway.
The accident resulted in 2 fatalities, including the pilot. Among the passengers, two sustained serious injuries and three sustained minor injuries. Additionally, two individuals on the ground received minor injuries. The aircraft sustained substantial damage.
