What happened
On July 6, 2015, at approximately 1312 UTC, a Kodiak 100, registration N642RM, was operating a flight from Pskov Airport in Pskov, Russia, destined for Ryazan, Russia. Immediately following takeoff, the aircraft suffered a total loss of engine power.
In response to the engine failure, the pilot performed a forced landing approximately 500 meters beyond the departure end of the runway. The impact with the terrain caused the nose and right main landing gear to separate from the aircraft. The wings, fuselage, and tail sections sustained substantial damage. The pilot and the passenger were not injured.
