What happened
On June 19, 2014, at approximately 1815 UTC, a Cessna U206E, registration N4258, crashed into terrain near Cerro Militar, in the Municipio de Calima, Colombia. The flight originated from Tocumen International Airport (MPTO) in Panama and was bound for Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport (SKCL) in Palmira, Colombia.
The aircraft was scheduled to arrive at its destination at approximately 1950 UTC. After the aircraft failed to arrive as planned, a search and rescue operation was launched. The wreckage was located in mountainous terrain at approximately 2200 UTC.
The accident resulted in 3 fatal injuries. The crew consisted of a pilot, a United States citizen, and two passengers, who were Ecuadorian citizens.
