What happened
On October 1, 2014, at approximately 2200 UTC, a Cessna T206H, registered as HC-CLO, was involved in an accident in Sarayacu, Pastaza, Ecuador. The aircraft was operating under Ecuadorian flight regulations and was en route to Aeropuerto Rio Amazonas, Pastaza, Ecuador.
During the initial climb phase of the flight, the aircraft experienced a loss of engine power. While attempting to return to the airstrip in Sarayacu to land, the aircraft impacted a field. The accident resulted in 5 fatal injuries, including the Ecuadorian commercial pilot, and 2 serious injuries among the passengers.
