Accident Overview
On October 1, 2014, at approximately 2200 universal coordinated time, a Cessna T206H aircraft, bearing Ecuadorian registration HC-CLO, was destroyed when it impacted a field. The accident occurred while the aircraft was returning to land at an airstrip in Sarayacu, Pastaza, Ecuador, after experiencing a loss of engine power during the initial climb.
Occupants and Injuries
The airplane was occupied by an Ecuadorian commercial pilot and six passengers. The pilot and four passengers sustained fatal injuries, while the remaining two passengers were seriously injured.
