What happened
On March 19, 2015, at approximately 20:38 local time, a Beech Model B90 King Air, bearing registration LV-CEO, crashed into the water of Laguna del Sauce in Punta del Este, Uruguay. The aircraft was operating a charter flight from Capitan Corbeta CA Curbelo International Airport (SULS) with a planned destination of San Fernando Airport (SAD . The flight occurred under night visual meteorological conditions.
The impact with the water and a subsequent post-crash fire resulted in 10 fatal injuries. All occupants, consisting of two pilots and eight passengers, were killed. The aircraft was destroyed by the forces of the impact and the fire.
