What happened
On March 20, 2015, at approximately 1805 UTC, a Cessna TU206G with registration HK2327 was involved in an accident near the Fabio Alberto León Bentley Airport (SKMU) in Mitú, Colombia. The aircraft had departed from runway 20, bound for San José Cananarí Airport (9AK).
Approximately three minutes after takeoff, the aircraft's engine lost power. The pilot attempted to return to the airport but was unsuccessful, leading to the aircraft ditching into the Vaupés River. The impact resulted in 2 fatal injuries and 2 minor injuries.
