What happened
On June 29, 2015, at approximately 02:30 eastern daylight time, a flight attendant on Delta Air Lines flight 74 sustained a serious injury while the aircraft was in cruise flight. The aircraft, a Boeing 767-432ER with registration N825MH, was operating a scheduled passenger flight from Atlanta, Georgia, to Amsterdam, Netherlands.
While the aircraft was in a period of no turbulence, the flight attendant was descending a ladder to enter the crew rest area. During the descent, the flight attendant's foot slipped from a rung, resulting in a twisted right ankle. Despite experiencing pain and swelling, the crew member continued their flight duties until the aircraft reached its destination.
