Incident Overview
On March 25, 2016, at approximately 0345 coordinated universal time, an unoccupied Saab 340B airplane, registration VP-CKI, was exposed to jet blast from a taxiing Bombardier Global Express BD-700-1A10 airplane, registration N683GA, at Owen Roberts International Airport in George Town, Cayman Islands. The interaction resulted in the Saab 340B contacting ground equipment.
Damage Assessment
The contact with ground equipment caused damage to the Saab 340B's left underwing, left engine spinner, and left propeller. The Bombardier Global Express, N683GA, was not damaged.
