Notification and Investigation
The Grupo de Investigación de Accidentes (GRIAA) of Colombia notified the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving a BAE AVRO146RJ that occurred on November 28, 2016. In response, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the GRIAA in the investigation. This appointment is made under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, which designates the NTSB as the representative for the State of Manufacturer and Design of the engines.
