The Aviation Investigation Bureau (AIB) of Saudi Arabia notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an incident involving a Boeing 777 airplane. The incident took place on February 11, 2017.
NTSB Involvement
Under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the AIB's investigation, given the United States' role as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane.
