Accident Details
A pilot, flying an airplane equipped with retractable landing gear, reported a normal approach to landing but acknowledged that he failed to extend the landing gear. The airplane touched down on the runway without the gear deployed and skidded to a stop on its lower fuselage.

In a National Transportation Safety Board Pilot Aircraft Accident Report, the pilot stated that the accident could have been prevented if he had performed a "double and triple check of my GUMPS checklist."
