What happened
On August 19, 2017, a Luscombe 8 aircraft, registration N71971, was involved in an accident during the landing phase at Angleton, Texas. While performing the landing, the pilot experienced a ground loop. The impact resulted in substantial damage to the aircraft's fuselage and left wing.
