What happened
On September 21, 2017, at 1820 UTC, a Cessna 650 (Citation III), bearing registration TC-KON, was involved in an accident at Istanbul Atatürk Airport (LTBA) in Istanbul, Turkey. The aircraft, operated by Avione Jet, had departed from LTBA at 1805 UTC. Shortly after the departure, the crew declared an emergency and was in the process of returning to the airport when the aircraft experienced a runway excursion. Following the excursion, the aircraft was destroyed by a post-impact fire.
There were four people on board, including three crewmembers and one passenger. All occupants were not injured.
