The Cirrus SR20 had departed from Stuttgart Airport (EDDS) in Stuttgart, Germany, en route to Adolf Würth Airport. The Dallach D4b Fascination departed from Regensburg, Germany, also bound for Adolf Würth Airport.
The collision resulted in the destruction of both aircraft. The pilots, who were the sole occupants of their respective planes, sustained 2 fatal injuries.
