Accident Details
According to the pilot, while taxiing to his hangar, the airplane's left wing tip struck the east-facing wall of the hangar. The impact caused the airplane to pivot about the left wing and enter the hangar before coming to a stop.
Damage
The airplane sustained substantial damage to the engine mounts.
Pilot Commentary
The pilot asserted that the accident could have been prevented had he monitored the distance from the airplane's wingtip to the hangar. The pilot also reported that there were no mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
