NTSB Appoints Representative for 2018 Boeing 777 Incident in Pakistan

Incident Notification and International Cooperation The Safety Investigation Board (SIB) of Pakistan informed the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) about an incident involving a Boeing 777 aircraft that occurred on August 8, 2018. In response to this notification, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the government of Pakistan's investigation. This appointment was made in accordance with the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, which governs international cooperation in aviation accident and incident investigations. The SIB Pakistan remains the lead authority for the investigation and is responsible for releasing all investigative information.
