What happened
On August 9, 2018, at approximately 1000 UTC, a Beechcraft Baron 58, bearing registration PH-CJX, struck terrain near Münster, Germany. The impact resulted in 2 fatal injuries to the two occupants on board. The aircraft sustained substantial damage during the event.
The investigation
The investigation is being conducted by the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU). The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board appointed an Accredited Representative to assist the German authorities in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization Annex 13.
