Accident Overview
On August 9, 2018, at approximately 1000 UTC, a Beechcraft Baron 58 aircraft with Hungarian registration PH-CJX impacted terrain under unknown circumstances near Münster, Germany. The two occupants on board sustained fatal injuries, and the aircraft sustained substantial damage.
Investigation Jurisdiction
The accident investigation falls under the jurisdiction and control of the German government. The German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU) is leading the inquiry. In accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization Annex 13, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the BFU investigation, as the State of Manufacturer of the airplane and its engine.
