During approach at 80 knots, the pilot aborted a landing after the airplane floated down the runway. During the go-around, failure to retract flaps to 50% resulted in insufficient climb and impact with trees.

Accident Sequence

The pilot was conducting an approach when the airspeed was approximately 80 knots and the airplane was slightly high. The airplane floated down the runway further than normal before touching down. Believing there was insufficient runway remaining to stop, the pilot aborted the landing. During the subsequent go-around, the airplane did not climb as expected and subsequently impacted trees.
