Accident Details

According to the pilot's report, during the approach for landing, the airplane was traveling at an excessive speed and altitude. Despite these conditions, the pilot elected to continue the approach. The airplane subsequently touched down on the final third of the runway. After touchdown, the pilot applied the brakes, but the airplane was unable to stop within the remaining runway length. It overran the runway surface and subsequently nosed over.
