What happened
On July 20, 2025, at approximately 20:00 LMT, a recreational paramotor flight took place in Dąbrówka under calm atmospheric conditions. The purpose of the flight was to familiarize the pilot with a new wing model, the Dudek Hadron 1.1, equipped with a Simonini Mini 2 engine.
After approximately 20 minutes of flight, the pilot began performing maneuvers. While executing a turn toward the landing direction, the pilot applied excessive input on the control line. This action caused the wing to lose stability, resulting in a loss of control and a subsequent impact with the ground. The pilot sustained serious injuries during the crash.
The investigation
The PKBWL concluded its investigation based on information provided by the private user involved in the incident. The investigation reviewed the flight sequence, the pilot's experience level, and the technical specifications of the equipment used. The commission established that the pilot had approximately 15 hours of total flight time prior to the accident.
Findings
- The pilot's decision to fly a wing model designed for much more experienced pilots than the level of experience possessed.
- Improper control input during the landing approach, which led to the loss of flight control.
- The pilot's insufficient flight experience acted as a contributing factor to the accident.
