What happened

On March 16, 2025, at 17:41 mountain daylight time, a Beech V35, registration N7987R, was involved in an accident near Englewood, Colorado. The flight was being operated under 14 CFR Part 91 as a personal flight.

While enroute to the destination, the pilot observed an alternator caution light and a corresponding indication on the primary flight display (PFD). In response, the pilot executed electrical load shedding procedures. The pilot successfully reached the destination with sufficient battery power to operate the radio, landing gear, and flaps.

During the landing, the pilot reported that the process was normal, including the gear indicator lights, until the right main landing gear collapsed. This was followed by the collapse of the nose gear and then the left main landing gear. The aircraft subsequently departed the runway and struck a taxiway sign and a taxi light, causing substantial damage to the right wing. The pilot was not injured.

Security camera footage confirmed that the landing gear were extended prior to touchdown and that the initial landing roll appeared normal before the gear failure occurred.
