Accident Details
On 26 September 2025, a LAK-17 AT glider, registered as D-KEUD, was involved in an accident in Spain. During the flight, the glider entered a spin and subsequently impacted the ground. The pilot suffered fatal injuries, and the glider was destroyed.
Investigation
Spain's Civil Aviation Accidents and Incidents Investigation Commission (CIAIAC) has initiated a safety investigation into the accident. The Republic of Lithuania, as the state of design and manufacturer of the glider, has appointed an accredited representative and a technical advisor to participate in the investigation.
