What happened
During a flight departing from Bagdarin for Romanovka, the crew attempted an expedited departure. The aircraft, which was transporting eight passengers, 300 kilograms of cargo, and 68 kilograms of mail, began its takeoff sequence immediately after passenger boarding was complete. Following engine start and taxiing to the runway, the aircraft reached a rotation speed after a ground roll of approximately 110 meters.
As the aircraft lifted off, it maintained an altitude of roughly one meter for about 30 meters before banking sharply to the left. This maneuver led to a ground impact that resulted in the destruction of the aircraft. The accident resulted in three fatalities, including both pilots and one passenger, while the remaining seven occupants sustained injuries.
Findings
Investigations into the crash revealed that the captain's decision to accelerate the departure process led to the omission of critical pre-flight tasks. Specifically, the crew failed to perform a visual inspection of the aircraft and did not complete the standard pre-departure checklist. The primary reason for the loss of control during the takeoff phase was the failure to remove a wheel chock that was obstructing the movement of the ailerons.
