What happened
Following the transport of eight workers to Yelushkino, an aircraft was performing a return flight to Kondinskoye. The occupants included the crew and one passenger, identified as the Director of Kondinskoye Airport.
During the flight, the aircraft engaged in dangerous maneuvers, leading to a total loss of control. The plane entered a vertical descent, pitching downward at a 90-degree angle before impacting a snow-covered field situated approximately 57 km west of Kondinskoye, southeast of Lake Khattavtur. The impact resulted in the destruction of the aircraft and three fatalities.
Findings
Post-accident medical examinations conducted via blood analysis indicated significant levels of alcohol in the crew members. The captain's blood alcohol concentration was measured at 3.4‰, while the copilot's level was recorded at 0.8‰. The investigation concluded that the crew was intoxicated during the flight.
